What is cellulite?
Cellulite is a specialized form of adipose tissue, which seems to be inherited
by women from their mothers. Regard it as a dual fat storage facility and a
cushion designed to pad and insulate your thighs and pelvis. Proper cushions
contain ticking to divide the padding into compartments. Cellulite represents
engorged adipose cells compartmentalized into irregular pockets by fibrous tissue
bands. This creates a 'cottage cheese' texture under the skin.
