This technology is completely different from liposuction, where tunnels of fat are surgically sucked out. Liposuction should never be used to treat cellulite. Liposuction was designed to remove a solid area of dense fat. Because fatty deposits in cellulite areas are compartmentalized into chambers of the fibrous tissue honeycomb, it is impossible to remove the same amount of fat from each chamber, particularly when done with large bore cannulas and high vacuum suction. The risk is that major gouges, grooves and irregularities will occur. In addition, because liposuction involves a tunneling out of fat, the trauma can cause additional fibrous tissue formation under the skin, hence, more tacking down of skin and more irregularities.

In contrast, Infusion Lipolysis is not only the most logical approach for cellulite, it is safer. It is a medical procedure, not surgery. No cutting, no general anesthesia. We shrink all of the cells in a problem area, so that the results are uniform. There is no risk of the irregular hills and valleys that can occur with liposuction. Infusion Lipolysis causes none of the downtime, bruising and prolonged soreness that can occur with liposuction. There are no binding garments to wear and no exercise restrictions. In fact, we encourage you to exercise immediately after your injection procedure, to burn up the fat that has been broken down. You are not left with loose skin, as can happen with liposuction. Your skin actually tightens and smooths as the fat cells decrease in size.
